Sandy Civic Center was the original southern terminus of TRAX from the opening of the first TRAX Line on December 4, 1999 until the Draper Extension opened on August 18, 2013. The station consists of the stardard island platform with the blue platform fictures, and exits to and from the station at both of the platform ends. As a terminus, trains crossed-over before entering the station requiring next train signs. The bumper-blocks are clearly visible at the southern end of the statio platform. North of the station a bike path fallows the Light Rail ROW providing an excellent vantage point for photographs.
